Our Vision

Our vision of being Rooted, Belonging, Encouraging and Connecting

is based on John 13:34-35

'A new command I give you: love one another. 

As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’

    and for them to be free to
    fail, learn and move on

    database of skills and
    talents, encouraging their
    use both within and beyond
    the church community

  • Open invitations to
    contribute, so there's no 'in'
    crowd and everyone feels
    able to offer what they can

  • The Bible Course - an overview looking at how the whole bible fits together

  • Seekers Course - for those exploring the Christian faith

  • Monthly evening service of
    prayer and worship

  • Termly Quiet Mornings for prayer and reflection

  • Accessibility group who look  regularly at how we might improve our provision

  • Creating more cross
    generational activities through community groups (joint lunch, film night, etc.)

  • Termly Church Family Lunch

  • Welcome Pack and welcome lunches for those new to our church family

    conjunction with St Paul's,  St John's, St Anne's and Broadway Baptist

  • Part of the the local churches Eco Group

  • Building rapport with Community Action Derby and local government

  • Sharing extensively on a variety of social media platforms
